Suzy Ahn is the writer and editor behind Astoria Net Shop. She started the site to turn years of patient, one-on-one tech help — first for her own parents and grandparents, then for friends and neighbors — into clear, jargon-free instructions for older adults. The kind of step-by-step help that assumes nothing and skips no steps.

She started Astoria Net Shop after watching her own family struggle with the same problems again and again: text too small to read, settings buried three menus deep, and scam calls that sound frighteningly real. Every guide on this site is written and tested to fix that.

Suzy uses both an iPhone and a Samsung Galaxy daily and keeps a small rotating collection of budget and senior-focused phones on her desk for hands-on reference. When a guide cites a setting or a menu path, she has opened that menu herself on the current version of the software.
